- Handmade: Seamless, retains high elasticity for years
- Machine Made: Economical, extruded
Q: What’s the difference between thin-walled wall and heavy-walled rubber tubing?
A: Heavy-walled rubber tubing is used for pressure or vacuum connections. Thin-walled tubing should meet your other other lab requirements.
- Latex: Seamless, good elasticity, and high strength. Latex tubing can be repeatedly sterilized.
- Polyethylene (PE): Translucent, requires immersion into boiling water for attachment. Superior chemical resistance.
- Vinyl: Economical, clear, flexible.
