The Eco-celli presents a new design of liquid barometers. The Eco-celli contains absolutely no mercury yet is as accurate as any mercury barometer. The U-shaped glass tube is filled with a red non-toxic silicon-based fluid and a gas. The thermometer portion is filled with blue colored methyl alcohol.The scale is four times larger than that of a standard mercury barometer making it much easier to read. Temperature fluctuation that can affect pressure readings are ingeniously corrected by using a sliding scale attached to both the thermometer and barometer tubes. Simple assembly is required.
