A ball and a board are released together, but the end of the board drops faster than its center of mass, leaving the ball behind in the air. Two meter-long boards, hinged together, are propped apart with a dowel, and a ball is placed on a golf tee fixed on the top board, near a plastic cup. When the dowel is pulled away, the ball seems to hang in the air, then drops into the cup. Repeat the experiment with a steel ball, then a plastic ball, with the same result, to show that the mass of the ball used doesn’t affect the acceleration. Kit comes with all required components, plus complete instructions.
