Mapping of Restriction Sites on Plasmid DNA Kit


(EDVO-Kit 105)In the Human Genome Project, DNA mapping is a common procedure used to determine the location of genes. In this experiment, DNA markers and plasmid DNA fragments obtained by restriction enzyme digestion are mapped using agarose gel electrophoresis. Reagents for 8 gels—2 to 4 students per gel. Includes instructions. Required, but not included: horizontal cell, power supply, rulers, transparent cellulose acetate sheet, distilled or deionized H2O. Highly recommended: visible light box, staining tray package, automatic micropipet to deliver 40 ìl.
