Positions and motions of the Earth, moon and Venus around the sun are demonstrated. By moving the post underneath the arm, the Earth moves around the sun and rotates on its axis, the moon moves in orbit around the Earth, and Venus follows its path around the sun. Causes of phenomena such as the seasons, day and night, eclipses and phases of moon and Venus can be demonstrated. Durable gear and chain movement. Overall height is 14-1/2" with the earth on a 17" arm. Inside the sun globe is a 115 V, 25 W lamp which projects a beam of light directly on the Earth. Includes 176-page instruction and reference book.
