Suitable for map work or projection, these compasses are ideal for a variety of applications in the classroom and out in the field. Choose from two different styles. The Graduated Compasse is 38mm in diameter, liquid-filled for improved damping, and sealed for use on maps or the overhead projector. The needle is perforated to mark the north pole and it features a degree scale with 5° graduations and marked cardinal compass points. The Demonstration Compass is 95mm in diameter and is fully dissectable. It consists of a case with a needle bearing, a transparent degree scale marked in 2° intervals with the cardinal points, a transparent green orienting arrow, a magnetic needle with jewel bearing, and a transparent lid. It is ideal for magnetic deflection demonstrations and for introducing map-reading techniques.
