Allows students to monitor, record and interpret weather information as it is broadcast by the National Weather Service. The radio switches from loud speaker for group listening to earphone for individuals. In case of severe local weather conditions a loud siren indicates a weather alert is about to be broadcast. Markable/erasable panels provide places for students to write their local forecast or extended outlook. A set of 14 study prints illustrate and describe the underlying cause/effect relationships that produce weather. The large, vacuum-formed, wall mountable board is sturdy and durable. Complete with radio receiver, study prints, national map, directions and teacher’s guide, but without local map.
