Human Karyotype Kit

Introduce students to human karyotyping and its applications in genetic counseling. Students prepare three karyotypes and determine if they reflect normal males, Kleinfelter’s syndrome or Turner’s syndrome. Includes six copies of three different metaphase plates, six trays for sorting a karyotype, three reproducible student worksheets and a teacher’s guide as well as plastic bags and labels for storing the cut-up metaphase plates between uses. Kit is reusable.
