Teachers can discuss wave phenomena of reflection, diffraction, refraction, and interference using the built-in vibration wave generator. The LED strobe sends visible waves through a tank of water.

Students can experiment by changing the frequency of the waves and strobe light's varying intervals to simulate a range of wave patterns or sync both to create a perceived stillness no matter how quickly the waves are moving. The water tank measures 5".

Ordering information: The kit includes a single and dual-point source and a line wave source. It also includes concave, convex, straight, and open slit barriers to investigate reflection and diffraction.
